One of the things the helpful security guard at the Union Depot pointed out was that even though many of the doors in the building led to nowhere, they were still the doors from the original depot build. He even invited me to go up and try them out, but I refrained – I was only there to marvel at their condition and their old school beauty!

The old doors matched up perfectly with the original look at each gate on the concourse, as seen at Gate A above. Original brick walls, street light accents and classic signage, both above the doors and for the gate itself. Even the windows above the doors. What was behind the doors had very much been renovated and updated, but each passenger that walks through the Gate A doors can get a feel for how it was back in the original days of the depot, which I think is terribly cool!

Really digging this series Jim. The grain on those doors just pops. Well processed.

Looks like they did a nice job on this. I like how the doors fit in so nicely with the overall surroundings!

They really did Chris, it looks pretty natural considering the updating they had to do! Thanks!

Is it my imagination but are the two doors in the double door sets different sizes? On both sets it looks as it the left door is larger than the right.

Could be that I’m not dead square on the wall Mark – I think they’re the same size. Next time there, I’ll look closer.
