As I made my way out of the clay pit the morning of Christmas Eve, the higher point of view from the road above the pit yielded an amazing view of the area below. The frozen fog the weather service had predicted was finally getting heavy enough that it accented the sun's rays bursting through the trees. The glow was so amazing! It was just a magical site and I was glad to have taken one last glance back after climbing the pit's banks.
It made sense that there would be other photo opportunities on the drive back home, but they did not present themselves to this extent. It was most definitely an early Christmas present for yours truly!
