Low Light Doc - jimdenhamphoto

Man, it is still raining. Will it ever stop? Sure it will, but it really is cramping up my ability to get shutter therapy - and I need it! Badly! So rather than waiting for the rain to stop, I decided to put the 50mm lens on the A7II and take some shots of my photogenic hound Doc.

With the 50mm having an aperture of f/1.8, it lets a lot more light in than the f/4 of my 24-105mm lens. On top of that, the shallow depth of field at f/1.8 is great for portraits, so it was a good choice.

And Doc, well, he's Doc. He's a hound who looks sad most of the time and that's perfect for pictures! In the shot below, he put his paws out in front him, yielding a rather unique portrait even for him! He sure is a beauty!

Felt good to get a couple of shots in. The rain is supposed to be gone today, so hopefully will get some serious therapy in tomorrow!
