Sony A7II | Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 | f/11 | ISO 50 | 1/60 second | 26mm
Every time I make a trip to Lake Graham, I drive by this lone silo in an open field and want to photograph it - have a couple of times, but I had to get out and grab a couple of it Sunday with that sky in the background. There's a hint of both winter and spring in this scene, and the silo makes me feel both sad and proud for it. It is alone and has been for a while, but it's a survivor, right? It just keeps on keepin on!
On another note, the 24-105mm f/4 lens continues to solidify my decision to replace my other glass with one very multipurpose lens. I have had one instance where the width of the 16-35mm was missed, but only once to date, and the simplicity of one body-one lens setup has been comfortable and pleasing. This goes pretty much against the normal grain in advanced photography circles, but these are not circles I'm concerned with anyway. I like simple, and so far, it likes me, too!
