It was supposed to rain, at least it was according to my weather apps. But the forecast changed the Sunday afternoon we landed in San Jose, CA. The rain was predicted to hold off until later in the evening on Monday, so our whale watching cruise would be dry, at least as far as the weather was concerned.
The Monterey Bay Whale Watch company, along with all the other whale watching companies, were located off of the boardwalk in Fisherman's Wharf. This is a very cool place with shops and numerous restaurants, along with the whale watching companies. The parking is such that you have to walk a short bit along the marina before getting to the wharf and that walk was absolutely beautiful on the morning we visited. It was cool, in the 40s, but all of the clouds were high and soft, and the sunrise over the wharf was just stunning. What a beautiful and fun place to place to visit and explore!
