One good thing about having a lot of rain, well, good if you're a photographer, is the presence of reflections in the standing puddles. When combined with just about anything in Yosemite Valley, that means double the beauty. Such was the case with this view of Upper Yosemite Falls from the area just to the side of the Swinging Bridge and The Merced River.
Another good thing about it raining in the park, much like when we visited Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park during the NXNW trip last November, is a lack of people. Although a couple of folks walked up on the bridge, the surrounding areas, like this one, were totally absent of people. This made shooting much less troublesome for waiting on folks and the weather itself yielded a totally different mood to the entire place.
In all, we were just lucky to be there to witness this natural beauty no matter what the conditions.
